💢 Greenland is not seeking EU membership despite a new €200 million EU investment package, Premier Jens-Frederik Nielsen said following European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen’s visit to Nuuk. Nielsen said Greenland wants to strengthen its existing partnership with the bloc, but “membership is not on the table.” The EU, Greenland and Denmark also signed a new joint declaration expanding cooperation into critical raw materials, energy and digital connectivity. The €200 million package — roughly DKK 1.5 billion — will be invested in Greenland this year and next. Greenland left the then-European Economic Community in 1985. Subscribe @NewResistance
