Paws Across California Presents... Meteor Shower Night and Campout Join us this October for a chill evening outdoors to view the Orionids Meteor Shower! 🌠☄️🌟 We will arrive at noon (12pm) on Wednesday October 21st and pack up at noon the following day. The first day we will be hosting a potluck for dinner, so please bring a dish or snacks to share. There will be a camp stove and a bonfire with s’mores, weather and Smokey Bear permitting. 🍽 Nighttime temperatures are expected drop into the 50s, so bring blankets and dress warmly. ❄️ We need items such as tables, canopies, extra chairs, and coolers so please sign up in our spreadsheet (link in the PAC telegram chat); other essential camping gear is your responsibility. 📝 We will be dispersed camping on public BLM land so there are no facilities or running water, plan accordingly! Bring enough water for yourself but I’ll be bringing plenty just in case as well. The area has been reported to have spotty cell coverage. Plan accordingly. 📵 Well behaved Dogs are more than welcome out here! 🐕✅️ Please respect the environment and one another. Leave No Trace principles. 🙏🌏 Fursuiting is highly encouraged, but expect sand and dust in the desert.
